Rover T16 engine.
Just been thinking, there's a T16 lump sat on the drive... could it fit a mk2 based VW coupe?
I know rover used some VW gearboxes but didn't know if the bellhousing pattern was the same? Also, what is the T16 unit like? I know the K series suffers from headgasket issues (Due to poorly matched liner lengths IIRC?) But otherwise it's pretty strong with the head bolts running right through the block.
I'm not likely to do anything with it, my landlord intends to use the 800 series it resides in over the winter while his S2000 is in the warm of the garage. But I just wondered....

Re: Rover T16 engine.
My mate at work kept going on about his Rover 200 coupe with the T16 in it. Very good engines apparently..
