Hydrolic clutch conversion
how hard is it to do on a golf mk2 16v, does any one have a step by step guide on this ? my clutch cable snapped yesturday, the cable managed to pull it self threw a tiny hole on the plastic bit at the clutch pedal, why dont they make it out of metal, that would be much stronger then plastic.

Re: Hydrolic clutch conversion
Think you need a corrado or passat(?) hydraulic clutch pedal assembly and fit it with a bit of bulkhead work to the mk2, then it's just a case of fitting an 02A gearbox, corrado/passat brake resevoir with takeoff for the clutch slave and then run the pipes round the engine bay.
I've got all the stuff apart from the gearbox and slave cylinder if you want?

Re: Hydrolic clutch conversion
have the 02a gearbox installed and running already, im using the seat ibiza clutch slave for cable operation, so should be able to get a hydrolic slave from flusted, . so i need a resevoir as well ? is that where you drill i hole in the bulk head, around where the pedal box goes ?

Re: Hydrolic clutch conversion
I think you need a pedal box to take the slave cylinder, then work out where it needs to mount on the bulkhead.
I've not done it, so I'm not too sure really.

Re: Hydrolic clutch conversion
you will need pedal box, master, slave cylinders and all pipe work aswell as reservoir.
Pain in the ass to do, you need to drill the bulkhead and hammer it flat
