Re: Diy Turbo VR6
So i started building my 3" exhaust, got some bits tonight and made up the centre/over axel section.....this will be followed on by the rear silencer and fully welded up by tommorow.
and now im so enjoying my can of strongbow after lying on my back for 2 hrs looking up at a floor pan
randoms...
My trusty old 100amp mig with stainless wire(not on yet) and a argon/co2 mix for gas...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Lots of bits to make fit!

Re: Diy Turbo VR6
This is something i want to attempt.
Out of curiosity,
I thought you have or have access to a tig?
Is a tig overkill for this type of thing then?
can u recommend a component supplier.
There is a powerflow outlet in sluff.I was going to use them for bits?!?!.

Re: Diy Turbo VR6
Just seen a close up of you front bumper in one of the other threads. Do you get enough air flow over the charge cooler radiator?

I have access to bigger migs but no tigs,i wish work had tig ,tig looks neat when its welded by a pro,tig is well up to the job and will withstand anything you throw at it....
As for parts i used a company on fleabay. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] really easy to deal with and they will give you deals on bulk.
Also i use a company called solid-fabrications also they are good.

I did not have a inlet temp gauge at the time when it was like that, but the manifold was always cool to touch when you gave it a good hard thrash
But im at the mo cutting out the number plate reses and meshing it off,i was trying to go sleeper look...but the way the car sounds now thats out the window
I will see what the temps are really doing once on the road but in the garage ticking over hot the inlet is 36 deg and the outlet is 18 deg and that with no air flow over the pre-rad,but im fitting a Aprillia RSV bike fan to sort that out and ive added one more 9" spal fan to the radiator and that helps allot.
