LT intercooler?
Well, I acquired a brand spanking new LT intercooler 'buck shee' off a mate.
The intercooler looks a bit like this.....do you think it'll fit and be suitable for a 16v turbo??

Re: LT intercooler?
Is it? Well, it's a pic of the one my the garage, so I guess it's a off a Sprinter then, rather than an LT!
So, do you think it's adequate?

Re: LT intercooler?
They fit in a MK2 exactly between the chassis legs with the removal of one tab on the drivers side, but personally I would opt for the £100-130 bar n plate intercoolers of EBAY they are the most efficient ones I've come across the large ones supporting my mates 1387hp skyline and with cast endtanks instead of plastic ones there is no risk of blowing the endtanks of like I have done many a time over 21psi.

Ah right, ok. So the eBay ones are actually quite good then?JNLRacing wrote:They fit in a MK2 exactly between the chassis legs with the removal of one tab on the drivers side, but personally I would opt for the £100-130 bar n plate intercoolers of EBAY they are the most efficient ones I've come across the large ones supporting my mates 1387hp skyline and with cast endtanks instead of plastic ones there is no risk of blowing the endtanks of like I have done many a time over 21psi.
Would this be sufficient for a relatively low boost 'ghetto' installation, though?
Re: LT intercooler?
yes it'll do the job for a low boost (1-1.3bar) ghetto installation

Re: LT intercooler?
tomo is running a merc 1 in his mk2, as the end tanks are wedged between the chassis rails theres less chance they will pop.
I used 1 of the ebay intercoolers before, very good at kepin it cool
