Pleased that you have found an issue, and you've not lost heart with it. Looking forward to this potential little meet at Stealth too.

I'm so pleased you haven't given up. Boost leakage would explain a lot. Even with your fully custom block design, I couldn't see it being THAT wrong. Look forward to what happens once the boost leak is properly sorted
Re: 2008cc 8.75:1 CR 3A G60 build.
Yes it will be static pressure tested before hand. To be sure! This has to be the last thing I do to the engine though. My pockets just ain't deep enough for this level of tuning on a G60. I don't think there is much in the engine bay that is original or that hasn't been refurbished!

Excellent news, of sorts!
Hurry up and get that leak fixed and remapped. I want to see this puppy smash through 270hp!
Isn't there a chap on the Corrado forum with a 300hp 16V G60? That's mighty impressive!

Re: 2008cc 8.75:1 CR 3A G60 build.
I saw 1790mbar today in a third gear pull from low revs then it tailed off to 1640hg still think it's leaking as it drops too quickly from 1790mbar. I think I've had a leak since fitting the new block and maybe even before on the old engine! Goddam Hose. Oh well, never been happier about something broken on my car. Just waiting for the hoses to appear. Most I saw with the old head was 1740mbar at max revs!
Thanks for the comments, means a lot!
Jezza G60 is a good engine but it's a 62mm toothed setup with a twin inlet SWG system on Emerald management so it has a big advantage plus another 8v's.

Old pictures! Today I did take the cam out and swap back the the vernier I got from you so it can be adjusted when I go back to Wayne. Had to redo the ignition timing aswell. I hate bolting cams in, hate it, hate it, hate it! hose is only holding on to 1640mbar today!

Yeah i know but £110 for a replacement in bright blue, 4ck that! A set on hoses in black for £150 delivered, I can live with. Just ordered another vernier on ebay the one I have has a little wobble in it and I don't want to rely on the tensioner to keep the belt in place. It's already walked to the edge of the gear. I don't like!

hmm.
Spending again.
I never noticed any damage to that pulley or had any problems.
Maybe it was whan I removed iit from the cam.
Feel a bit bad about it really.
Bring it along to the stealth day·

Yeah will do, you virtually gave to me if i remember so not complaining like. Just being paranoid about stuff don't want a snapped timing belt cos of something I could of sorted before hand. ahem! boost hose anyone. Torturous stuff, not having much luck of late.

Re: 2008cc 8.75:1 CR 3A G60 build.
OK today had another fiddle and found a small leak in the carbon canister valve thingy. So it's now been deleted from the engine. Managed to pressurise the whole system inc. recirc pipe, but didn't manage to measure anything. Doh!
Gave myself a real fright when the aerosol lid went BANG as it flew out the intake of the SC! HAHA!

could it be that the engine was in Limp mode though without the lambda sensor?
And thus using a different fuel table?

Don't know really.
A new 12mm wide charger timing belt arrived today, I'll fit it in the morning. Who said that, no I'm not paranoid. Who said I'm fat? Are you talking about me.
