Re: Dec's Corrado
how easy would it be for you to move the second ignition input from where you had it before to db37-6 ?

Re: Dec's Corrado
hmmm...it looks like pin 6 isn't patched directly across to the relay board. I'll take a look at the loom to see if it has a wire in place for pin 6, in which case it would just be a case of wiring directly onto the plug on the relay board.

Our current wind-tunnel project is running two days ahead of schedule.......SO.....100% definitely not in work on Sat!
So, I'm free all day! (until around 6pm'ish, as I'm flying back to Dublin on Sat night)

Re: Dec's Corrado
Cool, I'll aim for that time too, unless there is stuff we can do before you get there with the ECU??
Re: Dec's Corrado

should be.
From a startup point of view the differences between mine and his are minimal.
Just have to change the trigger wheel settings from 36-1 to 60-2

Re: Dec's Corrado
New starter motor fitted, and turns over 1000% better now! There was a serious amount of play in the shaft of the old one.....so it is no wonder it was struggling!
Anyway, checked the switched supply to the relay board as well. Gets a full 12.7v, but drops to 9.5v when turning the engine over. But this is the same voltage drop that I measured at the battery terminals.
So.....will rope one of the lads into checking to see if that voltage drop is causing the switched power relay to trip.......or else just temp bridge that relay.....

So, the starter really was funked then! Pleased that it was in a way, as I was worried that we'd misdiagnosed it.
I'd expect a voltage drop when cranking, but that may be too much. Was that using one of the good Varta batteries?

Re: Dec's Corrado
Yeah.....well when smoke started pouring out of it I figured it was pretty knackered!
That was using one of the Varta batteries which seemed to have a reasonable charge. I have put it on charge overnight and see how it goes tomorrow though.

Re: Dec's Corrado
I couldn't hear it clicking. But I'll have to rope one of the lads into checking it form the engine bay side, as it's quite hard to hear from the drivers side!
