Ok, so now that the Corrado is going to be used as a bit of a track weapon, I need to think about tyres and brake pads.

As we want to be able to drive the Corrado to the track, any tryes need to be road legal. I have little/no knowledge of what is best for the track, so what tyres are the best for track use?

What about brake pads? Again, they don't need to be superb on the road, but of course good on the track. Would Ferodo DS2500 be track worthy? What about EBC red-stuff?

To be able to enjoy to the maximum a track day using your road car it pays to spend some time in basic preparation. I will try and break down some of the simple checks and changes you can make to your car to enable you to get the most time on track during the day and to stay safe whilst driving harder than you would do on a public road. Interior

Remove all loose objects from the car interior. If you have a fury dice or air freshener hanging from your coat hooks/mirror take it out. Empty ...

A. Bump Steer Definition

Bump Steer is when your wheels steer themselves without input from the steering wheel. The undesirable steering is caused by bumps in the track interacting with improper length or angle of your suspension and steering linkages.

Most car builders design their cars so that the effects of bump steer are minimal. However, you must still take care to bolt on your suspension carefully so as not to create unwanted bump steer. Make sure that you are always using ...

To quote Evo magazine the VR6 is 'a little nose heavy' and with that in mind I'm thinking about my plan of striping the interior and whether that would actually make the weight distribution worse.

During my conversion I'm planning on relocating the battery to the rear, plus I'll have a charge cooler tank in there, but I'm still not sure what it'll handle like.

I don't know if anyone has covered this, but is it possible to use a second ABS ECU to use the ABS sensors to run a TCS? Basically, you'd want the ECU to apply the brakes in directly the opposite way to how the ABS works (i.e. to apply the brakes when the wheel is spinning too quickly, as opposed to when it is slowing down too quickly). I'm not sure if it'd even work, but at least it's an idea
