Ok, so I have a question to the guys running any aftermarket ECUs....

How do they get around driving CAN based instrument clusters? Do the likes of DTA, Emerald etc have the means to provide the cluster with the correct CAN signals to drive the Coolant temp, Engine RPM, Oil temp etc. etc.?? I know that you can add CAN to MS, but I'd imagine that is fairly rudimentary...

Right all, seeing as i'm getting a relatiely sensible daily driver that (touch wood) i won't have to touch ever!

i was thinking of embarking on a project at some point in the future. it may be a while away (though possibly not) and it can be all sorts of things.

my criteria are fairly simple - it must be 4wd or rwd, it must be ridiculously, ludicrously, insanely fast and it must also be (relatively cheap) - chances are it will be done over some time, so it won't have to be too cheap ...

My neighbour had one of these.

Ugly little thing that looked and sounded..well a bit chavy.

However..... on speaking to said neighbour he tells me that they are a rare and underated car etc.

He was selling his and he wanted 3k for it.

I thought that was mad.In fact me and my girlfreind laughed about it.

Anyway I have been meaning to read about them to try and find out why anyone in their right mind would want one and well I can see the appeal now.

No I will not be buying one however ...
